It was quite a drive to get there since we live in SE Iowa, but it was worth it! We all enjoyed the activities that you had to offer and the lunch that we bought there was scrumptious! "I was skiing in Seven Oaks Recreation last weekend and I'd like to thank ski instructor Bob. I came from Brazil and I've been living in West Des Moines for 45 days. This is my first time seeing the snow!! To ski in Seven Oaks was awesome!! Bob was very kind and patient! I though that I couldn't ski, because I'm 37 years old, but Bob made things easier! I'll never forget this day and how Bob help me to be confident on ski! I had a lot of fun!!"  Mery

"My 4 boys and I were able to come to Seven Oaks today. This was our first time here and their first time tubing and snow boarding. We had an absolute blast today!!! I just want to let you know how great your staff was to us. They started out tubing and the staff was so helpful. My four year old needed extra help getting in and out his tube and off the lift and everyone was great to him. He went tubing for hours and no one seemed to get 'tired' of seeing him come again. I wasn't able to participate because I had to watch our youngest boy. But my boys told me how nice they were up there on the hill. :) I know one was named Ike, but they all were great! The two oldest boys then went snow boarding for the first time ever. The rental staff were very friendly and happy when we came in and eager to help. When we went to the beginner hill, we were approached right away by two ski instructors to help them out. They took off and were on their way! They helped them up and down the hill a few times. After that, my boys were ready to move on to the bigger hills. :) I was a little concerned about them riding the chair lift by themselves since they have never done that and I couldn't go with them. I feel so bad that I can't remember the instructor's name! I think it was Nick, but he offered to take them both down the big hill. I felt so relieved! He took them twice and then needed to get back to the beginner hill. That was enough to give them the confidence (or rather me!) to let them go down the hill on their own. I know these probably don't sound like big things, but they meant a lot to my boys and I. Your staff seemed to be predominantly younger people. They all seemed to love their job and really enjoy doing what they do. I guess what was most surprising to me today was that there wasn't just one person that stood out. I felt that everyone we encountered today from check-in till we left was very friendly, helpful and happy. One other thing that I really appreciate was the rates you had for home school families!! Thank you so very much for giving us the huge discount that you did! We had several friends there today too who really appreciated it. Thank you! It was a big blessing to my family. Thanks again for making this a memorable day that will stand out for years to come! We will be back!"   Emily

"Just wanted to drop you folks a line and let you know we are looking forward to riding with you this season. Tried my first snowboard at SO 2 years ago (at the age of 41),and have been hooked since. I have ridden at your place quite a bit and have already logged a lot time on big mountains. I am hoping to get some laps in at my home resort before I take off for my trip to A Basin, Keystone, and Breck at the end of the month. Appreciate all your hard work in preparing the slopes. We love the way you guys take such good care of us at the lodge and on the hill. Look for me and my growing gang of new board junkies as soon as you greenlight the season." Cara & Steve

"I took my family tubing Friday night (12/18) and just wanted to let you know I was very impressed with how safe professional the tube hill was operated. There were two staff at each end of the tow cable and a fifth at the bottom of the slope. The staff was very polite and patient with excited kids that were unfamiliar with the operation. That said, they were not afraid to speak up if participants did something that could put themselves or others at risk. My kids had a blast and went home exhausted! I must confess I was reluctant to take my family tubing; however, I now have a much different opinion based on our experience. We will be back and we'll bring our neighbors. $18 for thoroughly entertained kids is a bargain! Thank you for a fun family night out." Bill

"We came to Seven Oaks last night to go skiing for the first time and had a great experience. We were very impressed with the whole operation, especially with the ski instructors. They were all so willing to help and great with the kids. Alex worked with our 5 year old daughter who had never skied before and we were so impressed with how patient he was with her and how quickly she learned the basics. She was proudly riding the chair lift to go down a green by the end of the night. We definitely would like to come back again soon." Jessica

"My family would like to thank you and your staff for an incredibly awesome skiing experience at Seven Oaks! ... The free lessons was the clincher...Our experience at Seven Oaks was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We let them know we had no idea what to do and they took it from there. In the rental shop they were very helpful, making sure our boots fit us correctly and giving us pointers. Once outside we were immediately greeted by Maria who asked if we would like lessons. Of course we jumped at the chance! She was joined by another instructor once we reached the bunny hill and they worked diligently with us, always being positive and supportive as we struggled to learn. After a few trips down, I was talking to my husband about taking the ski lift to a bigger hill but wondered if our girls would be too afraid of the lift. Another instructor overheard our comments and offered to ride with them up the lift for the first time. That instructor happened to be working with another group when we were ready to take the lift and I spotted yet another instructor walking by asked him if he would help and without hesitation he turned around and took our daughter up the lift. As we made our way down the slope we, of course, fell several times. We were impressed that even the other skiers, who were out to enjoy their day, reached out to help us. What a wonderful small town welcome to new comers!...They said this is one of our best family outings ever. So, thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts for making this such a memorable trip! We are already planning our next ski trip to Seven Oaks with other family members! My youngest is ready to learn snowboarding and my oldest has said she is going to make it down the slopes on her own this time! We hope to see you all again soon!" "I just wanted to say thank you for providing such a great family environment. When we were there the past few times with our kids we were so impressed with your quality of service. The instructors helped our 3 year old, 8 year old and our 4 year old nephew so much I could not believe it. I can only remember Andrew's name but each instructor on the small hill exhibited so much patience with the kids. Your establishment is so well organized, clean and affordable.
